Supreme Court refuses to entertain Manish Sisodia's plea against CBI arrest In Liquor Scam Case

The Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who is on a five-day CBI remand in the liquor scam case, appeared before the Supreme Court. His lawyers filed a petition against his arrest and the CBI's methods.

In the Supreme Court, a bench of two judges heard Sisodia's bail petition. Senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi presented Sisodia's case before Chief Justice Chandrachud and Justice Narasimha. During the hearing, the judges said that he could have gone to the High Court. Coming directly to the Supreme Court is not a good and healthy tradition. You have the option of going to the High Court for bail.

Justice PS Narasimha said that just because the case is in Delhi does not mean that you should directly approach the Supreme Court. He said that Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia has many options for his bail. He should go to the Delhi High Court. We cannot intervene in this matter.

Meanwhile, according to sources, the Aam Aadmi Party will now take this matter to the High Court on the advice of the Supreme Court. The party said that they respect the court.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is in CBI custody for five days. The court has handed over Sisodia, who was arrested in the liquor policy case, to the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI). The court acknowledged that remand is necessary for the sake of the investigation. Sisodia's lawyers have filed a petition against his arrest and the CBI's methods.
